Katherine Rogers is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her advanced practice career to caring for children and their families. She brings a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to Lighthouse Pediatrics, with a special passion for preventive care, early childhood development, and helping parents feel confident in the care their children receive.
Katherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. Her clinical training in family medicine provided experience caring for patients across the lifespan, while her professional focus has centered on pediatric primary care.
She especially enjoys caring for newborns, infants, and young children and considers it a privilege to watch them grow and reach new milestones. From well-child visits and developmental questions to unexpected illnesses, Katherine believes pediatric care is at its best when parents and providers work together.
Her approach is compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized. She wants parents to leave each visit feeling heard, respected, reassured, and confident that they have a trusted partner in their child’s care.

Katherine also understands that the doctor’s office can sometimes feel intimidating to a child. She takes time to meet children where they are–whether that means getting down on their level, talking about a favorite toy or superhero, or simply giving them a little extra time to feel comfortable and safe.
One thing she wants every parent to know?
There is no such thing as a silly question. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, and Katherine would always rather have a family ask than worry alone.

Originally from the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Katherine first came to Waco to attend Baylor University. After several years back in DFW, she and her husband, Seth, returned to Waco in 2024 to raise their two young boys closer to their grandparents.
Outside the clinic, Katherine loves cooking, reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, and gathering with family and friends. She especially enjoys trying new recipes and hosting–so there’s a good chance she’s already thinking about her next family dinner.
A childhood favorite she now enjoys sharing with kids is Hi, Pizza Man!, while Pocahontas holds the distinction of being the movie she watched over and over growing up.
